‚ÄúIt was not our best game of the year, but our players came together and played as a team to get the victory. The seniors have raised the bar for Mount Vernon football,‚Äù Coach Pedersen said. ‚ÄúIt also sets us up for an opportunity to place second in the district and an opportunity to host a state tournament game for the first time in over 10 years with a win over Tipton. This will not come easy. They have a lot of momentum and present a lot of challenges for us on both sides of the ball.‚ Äù
Please come out and support the Mustangs this Friday, Oct. 23 as they take on the Tipton Tigers.
